Priscilla Frederick-Loomis
Priscilla Frederick-Loomis is adept at overcoming challenges and obstacles, letting nothing stand in her way. This Olympian, radio show host, and entrepreneur is driven by her belief in the power of positive energy, self-love, and having the courage to always be the very best version of yourself.
Priscilla’s accomplishments are a true testament to the lessons in hard work, determination, and passion she learned from her mother, and sole provider.
Originally from Sicklerville, New Jersey, Priscilla’s road to the Olympics began with a full athletic scholarship to St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where she competed in the high jump. It was at St. John’s that Priscilla became a Big East Champion, four-time NCAA competitor, school record-holder, and four-time most valuable player. In 2012, while still at St. John’s, she placed seventh at the U.S. Olympic trials.
Although born and raised in the U.S., Priscilla gained dual citizenship for the country of Antigua and Barbuda, her father’s birthplace in 2014. Two short years later she became the first female Antiguan field event participant at the Olympics. She has competed twice in the Commonwealth Games, is a two-time silver medalist at the North American Central American Caribbean Games and Central American Games, and a two-time Pan American Games silver medalist. A national champion and record-holder, Priscilla has competed twice at the World Championships and has been the recipient of the Female Athlete of the Year Award, twice. She is a South Jersey Hall of Fame inductee.
Priscilla recently joined 98.7 The Coast as the new morning radio show host, but she is a highly successful entrepreneur and also runs her own nonprofit – The Priscilla E. Frederick Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to “provide assistance and relief to individuals, families, communities and organizations through the generosity and love of people.” The focus is on single parent households, community advocacy, and implementing random acts of kindness. Fundraising efforts for the Foundation provide scholarships, assist with academic expenses, supports community outreach and more. The Foundation also supports community organizations in meeting their goals and works to create connections to improve the culture of communities.
Priscilla maintains two businesses: Flawless, a home cleaning/organization firm, and Lash Out Loud, which provides eye lash extensions. Plus, with her husband, Priscilla co-hosts a podcast and YouTube series focused on marriage and being an adult, interviewing guests about their own journeys.
