Discussion Questions:
-
Can people really have problems controlling video gameplay and social media use? Without naming names, have you ever seen or heard of someone that had trouble with this?
-
How might a person know if video games or social media were starting to cause problems in their life?
-
What is a Cost / Benefit analysis?
-
Ken mentioned some ideas for maintaining balance – exercise like riding a bike or kicking a soccer ball; learning a skill like a musical instrument or new language; reading or listening to a book, and stretching your brain with puzzles. What are some other things you could do? (Brainstorm)
-
If someone thinks they are losing control of the video game play or social media usage, what are some other ways they might be able to get back under control? Or can it be controlled?
